By accelerating digitalization of payments, BancNet showed how the shift in consumer behavior drove an unprecedented surge in digital transactions. With mobility still restricted for much of the year, more Filipinos turned to online services for their everyday financial needs, from fund transfers to bills payment and government transactions. The network rose to meet that demand, processing a record total of 1.07 billion switched transactions — a 21.56% increase from 2020.

InstaPay growth nearly doubled: Real-time electronic fund transfers via InstaPay reached 429.14 million transactions, representing a 97% growth rate from the previous year.
