The governor congratulated the country\u2019s leading ATM consortium for its series of innovations that have made banking a lot easier for bank clients during the last two decades.<\/p>\n<p>At awards rites held at Intercontinental Hotel in Makati City, BancNet honored 5 of its founding member banks namely: Allied Bank, China Bank, Metrobank, RCBC and Security Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Also honored were the consortium\u2019s pioneer officers who have continuously served for 20 years: They are Ricardo R. Chua, former president and current Board chairman; Jose F. Santos, founding chairman and former treasurer; Juan G. Coreces, Corporate Secretary; and Rene S. Natividad, Vice President.<\/p>\n<p>In his opening remarks, Mr. Chua said, \u201cBanking anytime, anywhere is not just a slogan that we adopted in 1990- it has permeated the lives of our countrymen from all walks of life. Whether we want to get cash, pay a bill or transfer money, BancNet makes it hassle-free for us through its interconnected ATMs and other online facilities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 20th anniversary celebration was attended by other BSP officials, top bank executives, BancNet founders and alumni, industry and business partners.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/lh3.ggpht.com\/_3xc39R_9Cmg\/TGzwY66j2HI\/AAAAAAAAAGw\/pN_e9S6UgTQ\/s720\/2010%20Anniv%20Toast.jpg\" alt=\"Anniversary Toast\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Amando Tetangco, Jr. ( 3rd from left) offers a toast to BancNet on its 20th Anniversary.
